Competition DO's and DON'T's

Do

· Polish skates and wash laces.

· Bring guards, extra tapes, and warm-up jacket.

· Bring safety pins, extra tights, extra laces, and hair accessories.

· Always check with your coach prior to competition regarding costume.

· Be a good sport  

Don't

· Buy new skates or sharpen your blades closer that two weeks before the competition. (This also applies for ice shows and test sessions.)

· Surprise your coach with a costume they’ve never seen or approved

· Be late

· Allow family and friends in skaters’ area

· Be a poor sport
